Cleaning
As with any busy home kitchen, dirt, spills and food stains are a constant risk. Thankfully, the materials we use are incredibly durable, and can often be cleaned with simply a soft cloth or sponge and warm water and mild soap. A microfibre cloth can be used to dry the surface.
For tougher stains and limescale, a baking soda and water mix can be effective.
Marble can be more porous, which is why we may suggest alternative materials if you want to upgrade your kitchen worktops. At the very least, we would recommend sealing your marble.
Polishing
A shiny worktop is a happy worktop. Regular polishing and sealing can help preserve the finish, and protect your worktop form staining and scratches. Use a high-quality polish and cloth to buff the surface in a circular motion. Wipe with a dry cloth to remove excess polish.
Sealing
Sealing your worktop is a great way to add extra protection to the surface. Depending on the material you have chosen and how often it is utilised, this should be completed once every 1-3 years. We are more than happy to advise on your specific worktop.
